This weeks Bouquet of the Week is a beautiful bunch of Dahlias and Statice.
Our Dahlias are grown by lovely local farmers Sophie and John, just five minutes from our farm. Sophie and John have a large number of livestock on their farm and have diversified in to flower farming in recent years. They plant their 400+ Dahlia tubers at the beginning of the season and the flowers are ready to cut from July-August right through until October or possibly November in our mild Cornish climate. The bouquet will have a mix of different varieties and colours depending on what they have been able to cut. The Dahlias do not have the longest vase life but Sophie recommends trimming the stems a little every couple of days and ensuring they have fresh water to keep them going for as long as possible.
The Statice is grown here on our farm and we have sown and planted thousands of seeds/seedlings this Spring. We cut it and send it as a fresh flower, but if you wanted to keep it for longer you can dry the stems very easily. The statice will be a mixture of colours and may include White, lilac, purple, pink or yellow.
This gorgeous colourful bunch will arrived gift wrapped with your choice of message written in the attached card. £28 including delivery.
