We are very excited to be able offer this wonderful Bouquet of the Week Kynance Cove.
Inspired by the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Lizard Peninsula in Cornwall, this bunch is a beautiful selection of Cornish scented Pinks and Cornish Brodiaea. The Pinks remind us of the beautiful Sea Thrift which you find on the coastline around Kynance Cove and the Brodiaea are the same wonderful blue as Spring Squill which is a also found on the cliffs and has similar star shaped flowers to the Brodiaea.
The Brodiaea are a gorgeous blue or white and have multiple small star shaped flowers which come from each stem. These early Summer flowers are grown outside in the field behind the farm house here at Cornish Blooms.
The Scented Pinks are grown in polytunnels right next to the flower barn where we prepare our orders and you simply cannot get fresher than that! These wonderful flowers are in season from May – October and we grow a range of colours including pale pink, white, lilac, purple and red. Although they are called ‘Pinks’ their name actually comes from the ‘pinked’ edges of their petals. ‘Pinks’ have a lovely clove-like fragrance and a good vase life.
At this time of year it’s best to pick early in the day before the sun gets too hot, and our flowers are put straight into water and into the cold store to make sure they have a good drink before they are sent across the country as flowers by post.
This beautiful bunch will arrive gift wrapped with your message on a card, flower food and care instructions.
