This weeks Bouquet of the Week, our Mid Summer Posy, is a beautiful mixed bunch of Summer flowers grown in South west Cornwall.
This year we’ve grown mixed colour Statice and we have sown and planted thousands of seeds/seedlings this Spring. We cut it and send it as a fresh flower, but if you wanted to keep it for longer you can dry the stems very easily.
The Cornish Alstroemeria is grown by Thomas and his family at Lanoyce Nursery near Saltash, Cornwall. Thomas grows over 3 million stems of Alstroemeria each year in his state of the art glasshouses and we are very pleased to be able to offer his excellent quality flowers in our bouquets.
The Sunflowers are grown just up the road from us by Tim and Lauren and are often delivered straight from the field in the bucket of their tractor!
The Agapanthus are grown locally by two flower growers and come to us fresh from the fields every couple of days. These beautiful summer flowers are synonymous with Cornwall and can be found in most Cornish villages and towns in the summer months.
