As this weeks Bouquet of the Week we are delighted to be able to offer this wonderful bunch of seasonal blooms ‘Prussia Cove’ in shades of white and blue.

The components may change slightly as the week progresses but we anticipate the bunch will include Scented Pinks, Alstroemeria, Dubium, Nigella and Brodiaea.

The Scented Pinks are grown in polytunnels right next to the flower barn where we prepare our orders and you simply cannot get fresher than that!  These wonderful flowers are in season from May – October and we grow a range of colours including pale pink, white, lilac, purple and red. Although they are called ‘Pinks’ their name actually comes from the ‘pinked’ edges of their petals. ‘Pinks’ have a lovely clove-like fragrance and a good vase life and we will include the white variety which is called

The Alstroemeria are grown by Thomas at Lanoyce Nurseries near Saltash.  They are fabulous quality and the White variety have beautiful patterned petals and a wonderfully long vase life.

The Dubium are grown by a local grower close to us in south west Cornwall, near Prussia Cove!  They are a type of Ornithogalum and are a very striking unusual cut flower which begin as a spike of buds and slowly open up the stem.

The Nigella are grown here at the farm and are a firm favourite of ours!  They are a  really architectural flower which look stunning in bud before opening and revealing a really pretty blue flower.

The white Brodiaea are also grown by another local grower and in a couple of weeks time the Blue variety will start to bloom here on our farm.  Brodiaea have fine stems with over a dozen little buds on which open up to reveal star shaped flowers.  The white variety have a slight tinged of pale blue.

This lovely Prussia Cove is £38 including delivery and will arrive gift wrapped in with your message included on the gift card attached to the flowers.
